ABOUT US

Earth Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization training healthcare teams to empower people in remote Karen areas with health, hope, and knowledge.

Together, we can end this healthcare crisis

Earth Mission started in 1983, and since 2016 Earth Mission has labored to uplift the people of southeast Myanmar. Despite the unthinkable circumstances in which they live, the people embody a spirit of humility and hope, courage and strength. Earth Mission, as a medical organization, has come alongside to help them make their vision a reality.

OUR MODEL

How we invest

Long-term success means empowering locals to lead from the start. That’s why 87% of our 89 staff are from Myanmar and Thailand. With doctors, physician associates, nurses, teachers, logistics specialists, engineers, and everything in between, it takes a skilled team dedicated to their people to successfully improve healthcare access in southeast Myanmar.

We strive to operate as efficiently as possible and minimize both fundraising and administrative costs. From 2016 to 2022, 86 cents of every dollar spent by Earth Mission was allocated to our programs.
