Earth Mission Prompter

Prompter March 2019

The March winds have really been blowing this month and it got me thinking about the winds of change. Sometimes life brings a gentle, refreshing breeze and other times strong storms flatten us as they shake everything in their path. As a ministry, we encounter both types of change – in our personal lives & in our communities. But, in the midst of the swirling winds, our God remains steadfast in His love for us and we know that He is always faithful – whatever blows our way.
“Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know!” – Proverbs 30:4 (NIV)

Earth Mission Annual Report 2017

“As a representative and ambassador of Earth Mission, my words and actions are seen as a reflection of the values and goals of the organization. Therefore, I desire to portray a true likeness of the heart of this ministry. Because we aim to implement culturally relevant changes that will benefit the regions we work in, it is important to understand the societal differences and expectations that may hinder or foster those changes. We must build healthy, peaceful relationships with those in places of authority, so that the people they govern will profit from our efforts.

That’s when we find out whether we have truly counted the cost for undertaking such lofty goals. I believe that our teams have been faithful to do the research, training, preparations and evaluations needed to bring lasting progress to areas without the firm foundations that can only be forged during times of peace. When there is a lack of healthcare, education, and/or financial provision, it is difficult to live a peaceful life. We seek to equip people with the necessary skills and services that allow them to transcend the burdensome limitations they currently struggle under. And we pray that our lives will be an accurate depiction of the loving heart and hands of God, the Prince of Peace.

Thanks for all you do to help us with bringing this dream to life!”

Earth Mission Asia Yearbook 2018

God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” – MATTHEW 5:3-12 (NLT)
This is who we hope to be and the reason why we take up the banner of training amazing young people in a truly unique place in the world. To provide quality healthcare for ALL people in Karen state. That is the crazy big goal that the people in this book have committed deeply to. Most have left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property for His sake. I’m proud to work alongside these wonderful people.”

Earth Mission Asia Calendar

Earth Mission Asia Calendar 2019

“As we start this new year of 2019, and you look through this calendar, think about these individuals and who they represent.

  • Their families who brought them to our clinic for care.
  • Our students and medical staff who took care of them.
  • The teachers who taught our students.
  • The administration staff who took care of the myriad of finances, legal, communication and other support so these patients could be cared for.
  • The technicians who fixed power problems, water issues and renovated buildings.
  • You, our donors, who gave in so many ways to make this all happen.

May you have a good beginning to 2019, looking forward to all that God will provide. “This is from the Lord and is His doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” – Psalm 118:23 AMP”
