About Earth Mission

What is Earth Mission?

Earth Mission, incorporated in 1983, is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Siloam Springs, AR, USA. Earth Mission is committed to meeting the physical needs of people worldwide as a reflection of our Christian beliefs. It seeks to provide technological and medical solutions that are efficient, culturally sensitive, practical and permanent.

Vision Statement

We see a future for people which is health promoting, economically stimulating, free of oppression and meets spiritual needs.

Mission Statement

We are committed to demonstrating God's love by offering hope to the spiritually and physically poor. We do this by providing practical, culturally sensitive, and sustainable solutions to problems that require technical or medical skills, and by mobilizing prayer supporters and donors for this cause.

History

The Earth Mission idea came a number of years ago from several Christian engineers and doctors who wanted a way to use their gifts for the Lord. The Earth Mission Board of Directors includes people with medical interests, engineers, teachers and business people. The goal is to team up problem solvers with necessary projects to help people.

Our vision revolves around appropriate technology solutions for humanitarian problems in developing countries, helping people begin cottage industries, supporting others with similar goals.

Earth Mission was incorporated in 1983 and has since started and supported projects in Mexico, Haiti, South Asia, and South East Asia.

"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter - when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? - Isaiah 58:6,7
